Picture of Paper Glider using Silhouette

I recently took over as Cubmaster for my son's pack and have been looking for projects to do with the boys. At the same time I received a Silhouette Portrait and have been wondering what to do with it. Why not kill two birds with one stone and make planes using the Silhouette? Special thanks to Mark Ivey for permission to use his designs.

Step 1: Materials

Picture of Materials

  • Silhouette Portrait and computer
  • Cardstock
  • Glue- used Elmer's ProBond
  • Brush
  • Parchment paper
  • Disposable bowl
  • Books for weight

Do you mean hard paper!

Nice project. But since I don't have a Silhouette, I tried printing Mark Ivey's patterns using the PDF and OpenOffice files but with no success.

Look up books by Norman Schmidt he does the same thing, could get some nice silhouettes and ideas from his books. His silhouettes fly beautifully.
